What an interesting poster! Makes the Space Jockey seem like a much bigger piece of the film than it actually was. I guess Ridley Scott would be really happy about that! Probably has this poster framed in his house somewhere!
That’s the actual size the space jockey piece was compared to the child actors they used for this shot, specifically to make it seem bigger than it was!

ALIEN - “Rare photo of the other side of the cryo chamber, and Sigourney
Weaver waking in her pod. Originally the women were to be topless, as
it was extrapolated that in the future nudity would no longer be
considered offensive. In the end, a small band was used for discretion
and the women were not directly shown in the shot. In addition, a
lesbian relationship between Ripley and Lambert could show that in the
future sexual preference would also no longer be controversial. While
interesting, both of these ideas didn’t ultimately serve the pace of the
film to explore.”
