Above is a still from Mario Bava’s PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES. It was a significant influence on ALIEN and upon re-viewing it I’ve found some similarities to PROMETHEUS… the space suits in particular seem influenced from this.
If you like ALIEN I highly recommend checking this out.
I would have to say that the suits from Prometheus were definitely an homage to Planet Of The Vampires. Nice find
